Gift for the Nation June 22, 2009

We were sitting in the car when our cell phone went off. It was a message all the way from Canada announcing: Mubarak boys! Pakistan won!
Later on in a discussion with our family someone proclaimed “this victory is very important to lift the cloud of despair which is shadowing the lives of millions of Pakistanis. The killings and conspiracies are too much to bare..we need Pakistan to win…even Amir Liaqout has made dua”

The whole nation is celebrating the victory as if it is going to change the future of Pakistan and the media is portraying it as a ‘big deal’. Thousands of people took to the streets stuffing ‘mithai’ in their mouths. Amidst all this celebration and screaming my mind went back…..
Their blood has not yet dried…
Ask yourself! Will you have enough heart left to celebrate a simple cricket victory when all of your family was just brutally killed?? Your father, mother, brothers and sisters. Certainly not! When thousands are being killed everyday by our brave ‘PAK’ Fauj, the ‘Jawans’ are murdering innocent women and children, does this victory really mean anything? Can no one see the football being played with their heads in the northern areas?? No one?! No body ever expressed concern for them or made duas for them as they did for this rubbish!
Oh but yeah I forgot, it’s not human beings they are fighting, it’s the evil terrorists! The Indian agents! I feel sorry for the people who have set their goals so low and don’t recognize their real true protectors; the ones who are protecting them from the crusaders who have vowed to destroy Islam and Pakistan.
Wake up people!!
